I ❤ Taylor Swift. I admit when I heard she was taking a more pop sounding route too her album 1989 I was a little bit apprehensive. Especially when I heard Shake It Off. I admit, I didn't really like it at first, but I'm so in love with it now. It was just a shock, as It was a change, but I like that change.

So to promote her new album and get everyone that little bit more excited, Taylor has decided to release Out Of The Woods. Taylor has repeatedly said that it’s not a single but she felt it was time to share it with her fans as it’s “the greatest example of the sound of this album.”

Out Of The Woods was written by Taylor and Jack Antoff. This isn’t the first time the two have worked together, Antoff also worked with Taylor on Sweeter Than Fiction.

Now none of us are completely oblivious to the fact Swift writes about her past relationships, and It doesn’t take no genius to work out who this is about. But that’s none of my business….

Swiftly moving on… (mind the pun). The song isn’t actually Out in the UK, due to a strategy her management is working on, but let’s not pretend that we haven’t heard it, repeatedly. Cause I have. I love it.

The track features, heavy synths and beautiful echoing vocals, a complete contrast to her older country stuff. Taylor has said from the outset that the album is very ’80s inspired pop’. And I am definitely not complaining.

This track has made me 10000x more excited for the album which is being released on the 27th October! No doubt I’ll be writing a review on the album, once I’ve listened to it on repeat and scoping out all my new favourite ‘dancing around the bedroom jams’.
