Do The Bright Thing – Benefit Review

Hello lovelies! Doing a review on this amazing gift set I got given! It’s absolutely amazing! It’s of course the ‘Do The Bright Thing’ by the one and only Benefit.

The box itself is so cute, when i’ve finished with the products i’ll most likely keep it as a little trinket box! The bright colours instantly remind me of the summer (which I am so ready for). The contents inside is perfect for a summers day!

The box is protected with a plastic sheet, due to the blusher! There is also a tip sheet glued either side of the mirror, which gives you a guide on how to use the products included! Each item has it’s own little pocket in the box that is numbered, so you can refer too the tip booklet if needed!

Number 1: “That Gal” Brightening Face Primer:
Prime your skin to pretty. Blend this brightening pink primer on face. Wear alone or under makeup for that look of bright, smooth skin. Trick: Pat on during the day to re-brighten your complexion.”

The primer is a very light pinky peach colour, with a light consistency too match.  It also has quite a fruity smell too it, which makes it all the better. When applied it goes onto the skin very smooth and very transparent, but leaves a healthy looking glow! I’ve never really used a primer before this one, but I definitely will be now!

Number 2: Dandelion Brightening Face Powder:

“Perk up with ballerina pink. Sweep this brightening face powder on your cheeks… or all over your face. It takes your complexion from dull too radiant.”

I would only use this as a blusher, as it’s a lot more pigmented then expected! However it leaves a lovely peach blush on your cheeks, and works even better on top of the primer! It lasts for the majority of the day too! The little brush is very cute and diddy, I’ll most likely carry on using it when this has run out as although it’s on the smaller side, it’s a good little brush too carry around with you, that does the job!

Number 3: High Beam Luminescent Complexion Enchancer

Glow with our supermodel in a bottle. Blend 3 dots of this luminescent highlighter on your cheekbones for a dewy, youthful look.”

This highlighter is a very pale pink that you can build on to create a beautiful glow too your cheekbones. It has very cool undertones which I find compliment my pale skin tone in particular. I really liked this product and found it works well for me, so I went out and bought a regular size bottle  for when I run out of this miniature! It comes in a nail polish styled bottle, with a nail polish styled brush that I find makes application easier!

Number 4: BADgal Liner Waterproof Eye Pencil

Line & Define for a Sexy Look. Apply our smudge-proof liner along the lash line to open up your eyes & add a sultry intensity. BAD never looked so good!

The pencil is very creamy and has a very strong matte black colour. It is one of the darkest i’ve come across. I rarely wear pencil on the lash line, but I do wear it on the waterline. It is indeed waterproof and lasted a decent amount of time!  I found it really easy too apply due the creaminess of it!

Number 5: They’re Real! Mascara

“Lengthen Lashes beyond belief! Wiggle the wand from base to tip to achieve volume, length & lift. Trick: Hold want vertically & stroke upward for maximum curl and separation.”

I’ve previously mentioned that i’ve never been a massive addict of mascara. I’ve got naturally quite long eyelashes so I find most mascaras do the trick for me. I really liked this product, It has a good consistency and made my eyelashes a lot thicker! I am guilty of quite liking spider leg lashes, not horrific ones, just a good amount of thickness and I find this does that really well for me!
The Kit:

For £26.50 the kit is definitely a hit for me! Especially if you’re a benefit beginner, this is the perfect kit too work your way into it, especially with the tips and tricks guide!

Let me know what you think! Have you tried or had any of these products?
