After SO long I finally got the chance to visit Ireland. I can’t even begin to explain how long I’ve wanted to visit for, I really don’t know what took me so long. After seeing flights for £10 from here to Dublin me and my sister decided to fly over, just for the day, for a pre-Christmas girls day out. I had so much fun and Dublin is seriously beautiful! Everyone over there is just so so so lovely and we plenty to do for the duration of us being there.
Our flight was at 8am in the morning meaning me and my sister had to get up at 5am to get ready and then drive to the airport, it was a very long day. Especially as we didn’t get home to bed till gone midnight. So to be precise it was a 19hr day on our feet. So totally worth it though. Let me tell you, doing your makeup at 5am when lighting is limited is very hard.
We did spend most of the day Christmas shopping, however, we did make time to go see the Leprechaun Museum! It wasn’t as brilliant as I expected but it was fun nevertheless. We did want to go to the wax museum but by this point our feet were aching and we just wanted to sit and relax for a little bit, so we found ourselves in a nice little pub having a drink or two. I did end up having to buy a new pair of shoes because my feet were that sore, so little pointer if you’re spending the day on your feet don’t wear anything with even a slight heel on! Unless you’re experienced in that kind of thing, which I definitely am not!
I of course couldn’t come home empty handed and had to make a trip into Brown Thomas (Irelands equivalent to Selfridges) and find the MAC department. Why fly all the way too Dublin and not come home with something for yourself ey?
I had the best time and it was so nice to spend the day with just my sister as we don’t do that often. I definitely wouldn’t hesitate in going back to Dublin again as it really was beautiful.
